Start Up Campus

The proposed Sandyford Business District Start Up Campus is envisioned as the foundation of a broader innovation campus that positions Sandyford as a leading centre for enterprise and creativity, with strong political backing at national level. During Questions in the Dáil earlier this year, Deputy Shay Brennan TD highlighted the significant potential for a major digital innovation campus in Sandyford Business District, comparing the ambition to Paris’s renowned STATION F, and called for Government support to help establish Sandyford as a European hub for start-ups and innovation. Taoiseach Micheál Martin also referenced Sandyford Business District and the role of innovation hubs, underscoring the strategic importance of the area. At its core, the campus would focus on fostering innovation through flexible workspaces, shared resources, and expert mentorship; supporting local businesses by nurturing indigenous enterprise and collaboration; driving economic growth through investment and high-quality job creation; and strengthening community and networking by creating a vibrant, connected environment for entrepreneurs, industry, academia, and stakeholders across the region.
